SBDN’s Spring 2010 event programme featured the following events:

Digital Mentors Assembly
Thursday 21 January 2010, 5:30-7:30pm, Tobacco Factory, Raleigh Road, Southville
Share your digital aspirations for South Bristol and challenge Bristol’s Digital Leaders to deliver them. The Digital Mentors Assembly will be hosted by George Ferguson, who led the Digital Mentoring Pledge. Come prepared to suggest three ideas in answer to the question: ‘what needs doing to create a world-class digital South Bristol?’ The ideas will be discussed and shortlisted, with the selected ideas being passionately presented by supporters before the final vote. We hope this will be a lively and dynamic informal event!

Community & Technology
Tuesday 23 February 2010, 10.30am-3pm, Knowle West Media Centre
This event will be an opportunity for those interested or engaged in working with South Bristol communities to explore the role of the Internet, websites, forums, digital media, social networking and other digital techniques in supporting, engaging and representing Bristol’s communities. The event will include presentations and facilitated discussion, showcasing successful strategies and enabling networking for interested parties.

Collaborative ICT Training in South Bristol
Tuesday 23 March 2010, 8.30-11.30am, Knowle West Media Centre
This breakfast event at Knowle West Media Centre is targeted at organisations providing ICT training in South Bristol and surrounding areas. The event seeks to gather training providers to network, share information, discuss provision, identify specialist skills and resources and explore collaborative working. Facilitated discussion will lead and structure an otherwise informal event.
